Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra died in 1616, with a hand turned useless and the other glorified by the writing of the Quixote. Three centuries later, a fan of those times dedicated this statue to him, and the whole house that gives it shelter, La Cervantina, which remains today on the odd-numbered side of San Juan St. You have to raise your eyes to meet Cervantes and his doves, but it’s nevertheless a shame that this photographer first saw this today.
