This picture was taken from a boat on the Paraná River, when the cold was already biting. Bridges fascinate me, be they imposing engineering works over a wide river or intimate wooden or brick arches above a stream or a pond. The Rosario–Victoria Bridge is really a large work, and still an infant among its peers (it’s barely 4!), but has already turned into an icon of the city, and I still can’t help being amazed by it, even though from up close (as I told the passenger next to me on the boat) it’s no more than a series of gray masses of concrete.

The sun, my boat, the sailboat, the bridge and I played the astronomy game. As the boat moved along a escape orbit towards the coast, the sun passed along at the gaps on the bridge, in the manner of astrological houses, and the bridge played occultations, while the sailboat, tiny in its near darkness, slid by in transit.
